From Chaos to Clarity
Jacquie is a licensed professional counselor, relationship educator, and codependency recovery coach passionate about helping people break free from toxic patterns. Her journey is rooted in personal experience—raised by an alcoholic parent and later married to an alcoholic pilot, she spent years trapped in cycles of caretaking, control, and self-neglect. Emotionally drained and spiritually depleted, she finally sought help—not for her husband, but for herself. Therapy and support revealed how deeply her anxiety was tied to over-responsibility and a lack of boundaries. By prioritizing her own healing, she experienced a powerful shift—one that not only changed her life, but also created space for her husband to begin his own path to recovery.

From Hurting to Healing
Recovery was never just about John’s sobriety—it was about healing the deeper wounds beneath the addiction. What began as a focus on alcoholism soon uncovered other issues, including rage and trauma bonding rooted in John’s childhood. After years of therapy and persistence, they came to see how unresolved trauma shaped their relationship. Together, they did the hard work of rebuilding trust, breaking dysfunctional cycles, and creating a healthier marriage. Their story proves that with the right tools and support, even the most painful patterns can be transformed. Whether addiction is present or not, the principles of recovery can heal relationships and offer hope to couples who feel stuck.

From Pain to Purpose
Jacquie never planned to become a therapist—but after her own healing, she felt called to share what she had learned. At 40, she returned to school, earned her master’s in counseling, and now runs a private practice. While trained in trauma therapy, her passion lies in helping people break free from codependency through group education and personal coaching. Her journey inspired the creation of True Pathways—a space offering all the tools and support she once needed herself. Jacquie believes in the healing power of shared experience, where words like “me too” and “I get it” build trust and safety. Her work helps anyone caught in unhealthy relational cycles find clarity, freedom, and connection.
